Studio 15

Studio 15 is FAA's digital arts and media lab housed in the 2nd floor of LibertyTown Arts Workshop in downtown Fredericksburg, VA. Dedicated to educating Fredericksburg's youth in media arts and emerging technologies, our programs give youth access to state-of-the-art technology, professional mentors and a collaborative environment to develop their interests and skills. Through workshops, projects, and open studio time, students develop the marketable technological skills and critical thinking to lead the next generation of technology creators and innovators.

Our Goals:

Studio 15's current goals for 2016 & 2017  include:

  • Form a network of local designers, developers and teachers interested in teaching Studio 15 workshops and leading projects. If you're interested,  email us at info@fredericksburgallages.com!
  • Partner with other area nonprofits to offer meaningful experiences and educational opportunities for under-resourced youth
  • Raise community awareness of Studio 15 by meeting with educators, school officials and local leaders and forging partnerships

Girls who code

In early 2016, Fredericksburg All Ages started a community affiliate of the national non-profit organization Girls Who Code, which seeks to inspire, educate, and equip girls with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities.  The Girls Who Code club met in FAA's digital arts and media lab, Studio 15. We hope to restart Girls Who Code in 2017.
