FREDERICKSBURG, VA. — August 17, 2016 – Fredericksburg All Ages (FAA), a nonprofit providing youth leadership and youth empowerment opportunities through all-ages music and arts events, announced the launch of a 10 concert series to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of its first concert. The FAA10 Concert Series will take place from Sept 10, 2016 to January 27, 2017 at two different downtownlocations and will include experiential workshops led by local professionals in concert-related skills like sound engineering, film and photography.

FAA10 will celebrate the diversity of music throughout the Fredericksburg area and region. “The FAA10 series brings everything from Moodie Black and Ceshi, touring hip hop groups, to the shoegaze band Wildhoney from Baltimore,” says the chair of FAA’s Youth Advisory Council, 16 year old J.B. Hope. “From the American Primitive guitar stylings of Fredericksburg’s own Daniel Bachman to the high energy party music of Elby Brass, there’s something for everyone.”

The first concert on Sept 10th takes place at CRRL Headquarters Library and will commemorate the actual 10 year anniversary of FAA’s first concert (Sept 10th, 2006). Over the past decade FAA has hosted over 300 alcohol and drug free concerts, giving musicians under 21 a place to perform in front of their peers and featuring acclaimed touring acts from all over the world. As a youth-run and volunteer-based nonprofit, local teenagers plan, coordinate and are in charge of executing every aspect of FAA’s programming.

All concerts will take place on the weekend (either on Fridays or Saturdays), begin at 7:00 p.m. and will end by 10:00 p.m. Admission will be $5 for each show and, of course, they will all be all-ages.
