Well, after several months (like, 8 oops) I'M BACK with another post that maybe one or two people will read! FAA's been busy as ever since the last post, we've had a ton of SWEET shows including Paste Magazine's top live act of 2014... DIARRHEA PLANET!! Anyways, I have 8 months to cover so i'll just start at the beginning of the summer...
FAA had a SWEET summer packed with awesome shows, both normal shows and the infamous S U M M E R S E R I E S (ahhhhhh!!!) The summer series was awesome as always, but this year we switched it up a bit and had some shows at Libertytown Arts instead of having them all at Market Square like in years past. That was a great success so thanks to everyone who came out!
We also had a bunch of regular shows this summer! Cat Be Damned, Whitman, and Banned Class played an awesome show. Then Places to Hide, Kissing Fractures (who's new full length is amazing!!), and The Inflatables tore it up. Closely following that was perhaps the best show of the summer when Arctic Atlantic and Wild Child played and a TON of people showed up (WAY more than we were expecting.) To close out the summer we had FAA's 8th anniversary show (8 YEARS W00T THAT'S A LONG TIME.) Save the Arcadian, Arctic Atlantic (RIP this was their last show), and Banned Class played awesome sets and it was an awesome show (complete with vegan baked goods!!)
In the fall, we had EVEN MORE AWESOME SHOWS!! The Obsessives, Free Donuts! (that's my band!), and Interrabang Kicked off the autumn months with a REALLY loud, awesome show. Following that was The triumphant return of The Anatomy of Frank with Art Sorority for Girls, Spoonboy, and A Sad Rainy Day (also me!!) with an awesome and surprisingly(?) intimate show. Next up was the four, the legendary, DIARRHEA PLANET!! they played with (the OFFICIAL honorary fredericksburgers) The Black Sparks, and Banned Class. A killer show for sure, especially when 1/2 the band is shredding in the crowd. Finally, last weekend we had Jeremy Flax (of J Flax & the Heart Attacks)'s other, new band Alfajor come down from DC to play along with locals The Saviors and Personal Crisis.
In short everything is RAD and have a RAD holiday (you can give FAA a present by donating [and then give yourself one in April when you get it back on your tax return]) and even more RAD stuff is on the way. Ill try to keep ya posted, but in the meantime... STAY COOL!!
(p.s. i just redid the website, ENJOY!)
